Member Todd Inman

48th Member of the National Transportation Safety Board

Todd Inman, a native of Calvert City, KY brings extensive expertise in transportation safety, management, and policy implementation to his role as the 48th Member of the National Transportation Safety Board. With a diverse background, including Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Secretary of Management Services in Florida, and one of the top 50 agents in the United States with State Farm in Owensboro, KY, Inman is recognized for his transformative leadership and deep understanding of safety regulation. Notably, he holds the title of Kentucky Colonel, Duke of Hazard, Squire of Calloway County, and Admiral of the Navy Yard Flotilla. Inman is also a 2011 graduate of Leadership Kentucky.

His career highlights include leadership in numerous rulemaking efforts, oversight of emergency planning and response encompassing tracking thousands of incidents annually at the US DOT.  In Florida he was the lead Secretary for Emergency Service Framework program 2 and 7 under the national response framework.  In addition to his professional achievements, Inman is an avid boater, a licensed PADI scuba diver, and a pilot’s license candidate.

Inman’s dedication to safety, combined with his multifaceted experiences, make him a sought-after expert for conferences and professional engagements.

Inman and his wife Ann and their 9-year-old Labradoodle Bella Jane reside in Mclean, VA.
