Senate President Robert Stivers

Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, represents the 25th Senate District, including Clay, Jackson, Knox, McCreary, Owsley, and Whitley Counties. As of January 1, 2024, Stivers will have served as Kentucky Senate president for over a decade and as the Senate President represents the entire body of the Kentucky State Senate. Stivers has been honored by Governing Magazine as a Public Official of the Year, named the Chair of the Southern Legislative Conference and served as the Chair of the Council of State
Governments, a national organization. He currently serves as Chair of the Senate President’s Forum. Stivers graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in industrial management and a minor in economics.

He earned his law degree from The University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and is a practicing attorney in Manchester. He is married to Regina Crawford Stivers and between the two of them, has
seven children and 11 grandchildren.
