Business Development and Alliance Manager- DroneUp

With a focus on airspace solutions, Matt is responsible for the continued growth and adaptation of AirMap.
Matt works cross functionally to scope and lead project integrations centered on the goal of fostering new
airspace capabilities.

Matt has over a decade of experience working in the aviation industry. He studied Aviation Technology at
University of Alaska Anchorage with an emphasis on Air Traffic Control. While in Anchorage, he held an
internship with the FAA’s Office of Investigation and Compliance where he focused heavily on airspace
compliance. After graduating from UAA, Matt managed the UPS Air Operations Team in Portland, OR for seven
years. Prior to joining DroneUp, Matt helped scale an aviation SAAS startup company centered on fuel
procurement. Currently, Matt is working towards his private pilots license, as he continues to build on his passion for aviation.

Matt lives in beautiful Sun Valley, ID with his wife Anne and two dogs, Romeo and Spud, where they spend most of their time exploring the great outdoors. Some of his other passions are sports, skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, travel, and cooking with his wife.
