Matthew Simpson currently serves as the Director of the KYTC Division of Construction. During his 25-
year career with KYTC, Mr. Simpson has held the positions of Resident Engineer, Section Supervisor, and
Branch Manager within the KYTC District 7 office. In December of 2019, Mr. Simpson accepted the
Central Office position of Director of Construction.
A native of Somerset, KY, Mr. Simpson currently resides in Richmond, KY with his wife and three
children. Outside of work Matt enjoys restoring classic cars, road trips, camping, and fishing.
