Keith Lovan, is a professional engineer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and currently holds the position of the State Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator in the Division of Planning. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. As a native Kentuckian, he has worked either as a consulting engineer or as a project manager/engineer responsible for a variety of roadway and/or non-motorized capital improvement projects.
As the Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator, his work involves enhancing the bicycle and pedestrian transportation system, developing safe, interconnected facilities, and promoting their use across the state.
He is Chair of the Kentucky Rails to Trails Council, Vice President of Bike Walk KY, a League Certified Instructor (LCI) and a voting member of the AASHTO Council of Active Transportation.
