Jennifer Walton is a professional engineer with the Kentucky Transportation Center and has nearly 30 years of
experience in transportation-related research. After serving 13 years as a Research Engineer and 12 years as a
Program Manager, she was named Associate Director of the Center in September of 2022 and oversees multiple
research program areas, including Intelligent Transportation Systems, Commercial Vehicle Technology & Policy, Traffic & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Resilient Systems, and Emerging Vehicle Technologies. Jennifer continues to conduct research and training in her primary areas of expertise which include traffic incident
management and commercial vehicle information systems and technology. Jennifer earned her BS and MS in
Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
