Deputy State Highway Engineer

Jason started with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in 2000 on the KYTC Civil Engineering Scholarship.  Starting full-time in 2005, he spent five years in KYTC’s Lexington District, moved to the KYTC Central Office in 2011 assisting with the administration of the Highway Safety Improvement Program and then joined the State Highway Engineer’s Office in 2014 as KYTC’s Innovation Engineer providing leadership and oversight to the Cabinet’s Research, Innovation and Performance Management programs.  Jason currently serves as Assistant State Highway Engineer at KYTC where he leads the Cabinet’s innovation program and works with partners across the four “E’s” of Highway Safety – Education, Emergency Medical Services, Enforcement and Engineering – to prevent serious injuries and deaths on the public roadways of the Commonwealth.
