Adam Kirk received his Bachelor’s Degree and PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and his Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and Planning form the University of Washington. Dr. Kirk has worked as a consulting transportation planner and engineer and as the transportation engineer for local planning and zoning agencies. He currently serves as the local government outreach engineer with the Technology Transfer Program at the University of Kentucky where he provides on-call engineering assistance to local governments. Dr. Kirk is an expert in traffic safety, and the operational and safety impacts of geometric design. He uses this expertise to assist agencies in developing safety plans and identifying innovative treatments to safety and operational needs. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky.
