Each January, KBT hosts the Commonwealth’s premier multi-modal transportation conference. With a focus on advocacy, education, and networking, over 400 people gather each year to examine the important role a safe, efficient, multi-modal transportation network plays in growing our economy and enhancing quality of life. Attendees will hear from KYTC leaders and other industry experts that span all modes of transportation, speaking to issues such as modernizing funding mechanisms, innovation and technology advancements, and legislative policy issues in the year ahead.
In 2024 specifically, we will further investigate why a multi-modal transportation system is foundational for economic development. By providing a well-connected and integrated network, it supports trade, investment, regional growth, and overall economic vitality.
Transportation serves as a catalyst for economic development by enabling the efficient movement of goods, people, and services, fostering trade, creating jobs, encouraging investment, and supporting various industries. A robust and well-maintained transportation system is essential for a vibrant and growing economy.
